With over a decade of experience in psychotherapy, and more letters behind his name than in it, Garret Ford, brings a straightforward yet highly effective approach to mental health treatment; bringing an eclectic mixture that accesses both his passion for art [writing, painting, theatre] and evidence based practices.
Garret specialized in trauma and addictions early in his career, and has extensive experience working in both inpatient and outpatient addiction counselling, employee assistance programs, and return-to-work rehabilitation.
He uses a mixture of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy [CBT], Eye-Movement-Desensitization and Reprocessing [EMDR], Gestalt method, Iskusstvo arte, and Psychodynamic therapy combined with a direct, no-nonsense, communication style that is always geared toward meaningful progress; healing requires honesty, and while blunt, he is unwaveringly dedicated to helping clients break through obstacles and achieve lasting change.
